The Peter Kiewit Institute's Colleges of Information Science & Technology (UNO) and College of Engineering (UNL/Omaha Campus) offers a multitude of scholarships for students of all grade levels. There are also additional scholarships available offered through the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
For consideration of PKI specific scholarships:
You must apply for admission to UNO by February 1st to be considered for scholarships
Complete The Peter Kiewit Institute Scholarship Application.
Suggested application deadline is January 15, but consideration will be given to those received after.

ACT scores are required for scholarship consideration for incoming freshman. For scholarship consideration, UNO accepts scores through the December testing date of the student's senior year in high school. Indicate UNO as one of the institutions to receive official ACT scores.

ACI Worldwide Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in the college Information Science & Technology at The Peter Kiewit Institute.

Architectural Engineering Industry Experienced Graduate Fellowship Fund, sponsored by Alvine Engineering: Awarded annually to graduate students enrolled in the college of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus).

- Candidates must be pursuing Architectural Engineering degree.
BAE Systems Student Support Fund: Awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in the colleges of Engineering & Technology (UNL - Omaha Campus) or Information Science & Technology at The Peter Kiewit Institute.

- Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Candidates must have expressed a desire to pursue a career in engineering or information technology
Charles W. Durham Scholarship: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) or College of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $4,000.
- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates shall hold incoming freshman status.
- Scholarships renewable for four (4) consecutive years.
- Renewal based on satisfactory academic performance.
Charles Raffensperger Scholarship: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) or the College of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha).

- Candidates must maintain GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Scholarship renewable for up to four (4) consecutive years.
Cybercorp Scholarship: Awarded annually to UNO students pursuing the Information Assurance concentration that are in the final two years of pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Day Brown Rice (DBR) Engineering Consultants, Inc. Fund: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $3,000.
- Candidates must rank in the top 10% of graduating high school class.
- Candidates must graduate from a Houston, Texas high school.
- Candidates must pursue a degree in Architectural Engineering.
- Scholarship is eligible for renewal for up to four (4) consecutive years.
Diversity in Engineering Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) at The Peter Kiewit Institute. Five scholarships are currently provided through the following companies: DLR Group; HDR Engineering; Lamp, Rynearson & Associates, Inc.; Leo A Daly Co.; and Lozier Corporation.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount up to $8,000 annually.
- Candidates must have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Candidates must have graduated from a Nebraska high school.
- Candidates must be enrolled at full-time status.
- Candidates must reside in on-campus housing.
- Candidates must demonstrate a financial need come from educationally or culturally disadvantaged backgrounds prior to enrollment at the University.
- Scholarships may be awarded for up to four (4) consecutive academic years.
Firstier Banks Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in the College of Information Science and Technology (UNOmaha) at The Peter Kiewit Institute.

HDR Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to graduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UN - Omaha or Lincoln Campus).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $1,500.
- Candidates must pursue a degree in Engineering.
- Candidates must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates must submit a 300 word essay on choice of study and intentions upon graduation
- Candidates must re-apply each year
Lamp, Rynearson & Associates, Inc. Civil Engineering Scholarship: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) majoring in Civil Engineering.

- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Candidates must have graduated from a Nebraska or Western Iowa high school.
- Candidates must be enrolled at full-time status.
- Scholarships may be awarded for up to four (4) consecutive academic years with minimum GPA of 2.5.
Mutual of Omaha: Awarded annually to outstanding students who have experienced disadvantages, are in some cases non-traditional, and are interested in achieving new opportunities who would otherwise have financial difficulty pursuing a higher education.

- Candidates must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
- Scholarships are eligible for renewal for up to four (4) consecutive years.
Nebraska Concrete and Aggregates Association Fund: This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the College of Engineering.
- Candidates must have completed the undergraduate course in concrete materials
- Candidates must have secured permission, through their major department, to enroll in the course "Undergraduate Research and Thesis"
- Candidates must prepare a written proposal for the special study of concrete materials in reasonable detail for use in the above named course
Nebraska Diplomats, Inc. Scholarship: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) or the College of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $1,000.
- Candidates must have GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates will have graduated from a Nebraska high school.
- Students must maintain 3.0 GPA for annual renewal of scholarship.
- Scholarship will be awarded to one candidate from each of Nebraska's three Congressional Districts.
OSEC (Ocean Systems Engineering Corporation) Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in the colleges of Engineering & Technology (UNL - Omaha Campus) or Information Science & Technology at The Peter Kiewit Institute.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $3,500 per academic year
- Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Candidates must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing
- Candidates must have expressed desire to pursue a career in the area of information technologies/telecommunications or engineering
- Scholarship are awarded for one (1) academic year, but may be renewed for up to three (3) academic years upon maintenance of all criteria.
Otto J. Ludewig Memorial Scholarship: Awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in the College of Engineering (UNL-Omaha Campus) at the Peter Kiewit Institute

- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates must have expressed a desire to pursue a career in construction management.
Peck/Benak Engineering Achievement Scholarship, sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE): This scholarship is awarded annually to students enrolled in the College of Engineering, majoring in Civil Engineering. Students may be enrolled in any campus of the University of Nebraska.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $1000 annually.
- Preference given to candidates holding junior or senior class standing.
- Candidates will have cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Candidates will have expressed interest in pursuing careers in the area of Geotechnical Engineering.
- Preference given to members of ASCE Student Chapter with good standing.
- Preference given to candidates with practical experience in geotechnical engineering or related fields.
- Scholarship may be renewed upon reapplication.
Philip B. Fletcher Memorial Scholarship Fund, sponsored by Level 3 Communications: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) or the College of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $1000 per year.
- Candidates will have incoming freshman standing.
- Candidates will have and maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates will have scored 27 or better on the ACT.
- Candidates will have expressed desire to pursue a career in Engineering, Information Technology or Telecommunications.
- Candidates will have demonstrated participation in school and/or community activities as well as leadership and a drive to attain success.
- Scholarship is awarded for one (1) year only.
Philip Schrager Foundation IST&E Fund: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in the colleges of Engineering & Technology (UNL - Omaha Campus) or Information Sciences & Technology (UNOmaha) at The Peter Kiewit Institute.

- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates must be in the top 25% of graduating high school class.
- Candidates must demonstrate a financial need and/or from educationally or culturally disadvantaged backgrounds prior to enrollment at the University.
PKI Student Diplomat Scholarship: Awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in the colleges of Engineering & Technology (UNL - Omaha Campus) or Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha) at The Peter Kiewit Institute.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $250 per academic semester.
- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above.
- Candidates must be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior or senior.
- Candidates must be available to work 50 hours per semester on various public relations/recruitment projects.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
- Candidates must re-apply annually.

Priority Technologies Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to students with senior or graduate class standing enrolled in the College of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount is $1,000.
- Candidates will be pursuing a major in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
- Candidates will have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Scholarship may be renewed annually with satisfactory academic performance.
Sydney L. & Betty G. Cate Leadership Scholarship: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in the colleges of Engineering & Technology (UNL- Omaha Campus) or Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha) at The Peter Kiewit Institute.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount varies.
- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates must have an ACT of 24 or above.
- Candidates must demonstrate mature leadership.
- Candidates must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time for annual renewal.
Technical Support, Inc. Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering (UNL - Omaha Campus) or the College of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha).
- Tuition and reimbursement amount varies.
- Candidates will have demonstrated ability to apply technical and creative skills through the creation of new software or hardware development and design related to Internet connectivity with an emphasis on household appliances.
Union Pacific Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the college of Information Science & Technology, Omaha campus.
- Candidates will have junior or senior class standing
- Candidates will have cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
- Scholarship award amount is $1,000 per academic year
- Scholarships will be awarded for one academic year, but may be renewed upon application
Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship:
Awarded annually to outstanding high school graduates pursuing undergraduate
degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincolns College of Engineering
(Omaha Campus) or the University of Nebraska at Omahas
College of Information Science & Technology.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount ranges from $4,000 to $12,000.
- Candidates must have an ACT of 30 or above.
- Priority status for living accommodations in the hi-tech Scott Residence Hall located on the South Campus.
- Applications will be accepted after January 15.
- Scholarship is renewable for up to four (4) consecutive years with GPA of 3.2 or above.
- A new personal computer system will be provided to each student
Windstream Communication Scholarship Fund: Awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in the colleges of Engineering & Technology (UNL- Omaha Campus) or Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha) at The Peter Kiewit Institute.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount ranges from $3,500 to $7,000.
- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Candidates must be in the top 20% of the high school class
- Candidates must maintain a 3.0 GPA or above.
- Candidates must be enrolled at full-time status for annual renewal.
Woodmen of the World Leadership Scholarship: Awarded annually to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in the college of Information Science & Technology (UNOmaha) at The Peter Kiewit Institute.
- Tuition and reimbursement amount ranges from $500 to $3,000.
- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates must rank in the top 25% of their class
- Candidates must have graduated from a Nebraska high school or an Iowa high school located West of Interstate 35.
- Candidates must have demonstrated involvement in school and civic activities.
- Candidates must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time for annual renewal.
